Not getting very far with the Great New Year Tidy Up - managed to tear a tendon in my foot! Spending some enforced extra time at home. At least I am getting ahead with the Tax Accounts.

What a lovely way to spend an otherwise cold and windy day.    I like to spend a bit of time in the New Year revisiting my stash, doing the filing (putting away fabric from recent projects and new purchases as shown above) refolding (so the colour boxes are tidy... temporarily, ahem) and generally sorting. It's a great way of reminding yourself what you've got - in my case, far too much!

"It wasn't me!" Well, in this instance that's true. This is Elwood the Chesapeake Bay Retriever - my constant studio companion who, for once, didn't cause the mess on the floor but still revels in it!

Back in 2019 I took over a studio in the flatlands, otherwise known as Norfolk, land of big skies and wind. This is how it looked, briefly, in November of that year. It has now undergone extensive remodelling and is now rather more... mmm... cluttered. This week I have been attempting to tame the mess that has resulted from three years of creativity. I hope for a clean start to the New Year, ready for the next adventure.

2022 has been something of the proverbial rollercoaster - a year of extreme highs and lows. Time to put it behind and move forward, although its legacy will always be with me... in a good way. So many plans for the future, looking forward to sharing my creative journey. Definitely a high!  NEW PERSPECTIVES Winner: 1st Prize in Contemporary Quilt Category at Festival of Quilts 2022 Pattern available as a  Block of the Month
